Day 2 - NY to Ohio

We spent our first night on the road at the WalMart nr Horseheads NY (Thanks Diane for suggestion). Great site with separate lot for RVs and trucks. Dennis took Pearl to Judy while I shopped for a few groceries and then we were off. I-86 was fine for a while and then we hit the bumpy road that this route is known for. Of course that was when Rayanne was driving! We had a nice conversation with a NY State Trooper at the Allegany Rest Area, where we ate lunch and learned about the legend of the beaver and turtle. Then it was off again towards Erie and Ohio.

Along the way we noticed the van from NY that was having an identity crisis. They had Michigan State and Penn State stickers on windows and Michigan M on tire cover. No mention of any team from NY. Football season must be interesting at their house.

We're now at the Blue Heron rest area nr Toledo Ohio and ready to start Day 3.
